RecyTex is an innovative startup focused on revolutionizing the textile recycling industry.
The startup is a spin from an ICL born R&D project and is a part of the ICL Planet venture creation and incubation activity.
Our mission is to reduce textile waste and promote sustainability through cutting-edge recycling technologies and eco-friendly practices.
As we plan to scale and to expand our operations.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced engineer to help us scale our innovative recycling processes from lab scale to pilot scale and eventually commercial.

What will your responsibilities be?

We are seeking a VP of Operations with expertise in scaling processes from lab to pilot scale.
This role is pivotal in designing, optimizing, and implementing scalable processes, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Process Design and Optimization:
- Design, develop, conduct and optimize processes for scaling from lab to pilot scale.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the scale-up process
Scale-Up and Implementation:
- Detailed plan including equipment selection and process integration.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors and vendors for equipment and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition from lab to pilot scale.
Quality and Safety Assurance:
- Ensure processes meet quality, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
Collaboration and Communication:
-Work closely with research and development (R&D) team and Business development to align process goals with overall company objectives.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in scaling up chemical or industrial processes, preferably with experience in textile recycling or a related field, MBA an is advantageous
- Proven experience in scaling up chemical or industrial processes from lab scale to pilot scale.
- Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
