Core Responsibilities
o Maintaining availability of physical Linux servers that power the Palantir platform in air-gapped production environments.
o Design, deploy, and operate infrastructure to support customer & product requirements via modern orchestration & monitoring platforms.
o Collaborate closely with product teams on requirements & Service Level Objectives for deploying software into air-gapped environments.
o Identifying, troubleshooting, and solving network & systems issues
o Scripting to automate away routine operational tasks.
o Work with our Software Engineering teams to tackle workflow problems and resolve product issues.
o Be the first responder when things go wrong. Even if a problem is outside your area of expertise, you make the first move to fix it, and you pull in the expertise necessary to get the job done.

o experience managing medium to large scale systems.
o Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple different teams spread over a wide geography.
o A very high level of independence and resilience with the ability to work remotely with little oversight and guidance.
o Ability to effectively support our customers and advise them on hardware purchases, capacity planning, firewalls, etc.
o Should have an Understanding of how database systems work and how to manage them e.g Oracle, Postgresql. Does not need to be a Database Administrator.
o Understanding of Cassandra, Hadoop, and how distributed systems work in general.
o Understanding of Linux OS, Linux administration, and troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with related tools, such as Logical Volume Manager (LVM) commands
o Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.
o Added Value but not a must: Proficiency with one or more programming languages or data engineering frameworks, such as Python, SQL, Spark, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
