Electro-Mechanical buyer & Cables

At Orbit Communication Systems, we are looking for a Senior Electro-Mechanical Buyer specializing in cables, responsible for sourcing and purchasing components essential for our innovative communication solutions.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supplier Management in manufacturing environment.
Proven experience leading projects and managing cross-functional interfaces.
Proven experience working with manufacturing subcontractors.
Ability to read and interpret Cables Assemblies or Electronic Boards (PCB / PCBA) drawings (advantage).
Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills with a system-level mindset.
Experience in project-oriented, high-mix / low-volume environment.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Skills

Experience with ERP systems (Priority – advantage).
High level of Excel skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Team player.
Fluent English – reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilites:

Manage procurement activities and supplier relationships with local and global vendors , including sourcing new suppliers.
Lead projects end-to-end, from requirement definition through final delivery.
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Logistics teams.
Build, manage, and monitor work plans and project schedules.
Ensure supply continuity and material availability to support production needs.
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, and lead times) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead cost reduction and commercial negotiations.
Review and work with technical drawings and specifications.
