Hardware Systems Engineering Manager – C2 Systems

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineering Manager to join an advanced technology organization specializing in computing hardware and shelter-based Command & Control (C2) systems.

The position serves as Deputy to the Hardware Department Manager and combines systems engineering, technical leadership, multidisciplinary project management, customer engagement, supplier management, and hands-on engineering involvement.

Key Responsibilities
Support the management of multidisciplinary engineering projects throughout the complete project lifecycle.
Define system architectures and hardware platforms for shelter-based and mobile C2 systems.
Develop technical specifications and translate operational needs into detailed system requirements.
Lead the integration of computing, networking, communication, electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical subsystems.
Coordinate development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and delivery activities.
Manage technical interfaces with customers, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Participate in and lead engineering design reviews, including PDR and CDR.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
Drive technical and operational activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams while maintaining hands-on involvement.

Requirements
Relevant experience in Hardware Systems Engineering, Electronics Systems Engineering, or Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering.
Strong system-level understanding of Command & Control systems, computing platforms, networking infrastructures, and integrated hardware environments.
Proven experience in system architecture design and technical specification development.
Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects from requirements through delivery.
Understanding of electrical systems and electro-mechanical integration.
Experience working with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal engineering teams.
Ability to lead complex technical activities across multiple disciplines.
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
