DevOps Manager

In this role you will:
Lead and mentor a team of 3 - 4 DevOps engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects and tasks.
Report directly to CTO Manage and optimize our hybrid infrastructure environment, including both on-premises and cloud-based systems, to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
Collaborate with software development teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating the build, test, and deployment processes.
Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure resources.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, ensuring the smooth operation of containerized applications across development, testing, and production environments.
Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing proactive measures to identify and mitigate potential issues before they impact operations.
Establish and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure stack, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement new infrastructure initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to our infrastructure strategy.

You have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configuration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar are a plus
