AI Solution Architect / Project Lead

We are looking for an experienced AI Solution Architect / Project Lead to join a leading defense organization in Tel Aviv.

This is a key leadership role within a small, multidisciplinary AI project team.
The position combines AI architecture ownership, technical leadership, project coordination, team leadership, and cross-organizational engagement.

We are looking for a strong, proactive technical leader who can see the full picture, connect the architectural, technological, product, and operational aspects of the project, and drive execution from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the overall architecture of an advanced AI project
- Define architectural principles, system structure, technology choices, integration patterns, and technical interfaces
- Lead the project team professionally and coordinate work across the different team members
- Translate project goals and operational needs into a clear technical architecture and execution plan
- Identify architectural gaps, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, and drive decisions accordingly
- Work closely with AI, software, data, product, and infrastructure professionals
- Lead technical discussions and design reviews across the project
- Coordinate interfaces with additional teams and stakeholders across the organization
- Engage with potential internal and external customers, understand their needs, and translate them into technical requirements
- Drive alignment between business, operational, and technological considerations
- Support the project from initial architecture and design through development, integration, and implementation
- Promote adoption of advanced AI capabilities and relevant technologies within the project

Requirements:
- Significant experience in software architecture and technical leadership
- Strong understanding of AI-based systems and modern AI architectures
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects end-to-end
- Experience working across multiple technological domains and integrating different system components
- Strong systems thinking and ability to see the broader architectural picture
- Experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical authority within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to translate customer or operational needs into architecture, technical requirements, and execution plans
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to operate independently in a complex environment

Relevant Backgrounds May Include:
- AI / Software Architect with experience leading complex AI-enabled systems
- Technical Lead / Principal Engineer with broad architectural ownership
- Engineering Team Lead / R&D Lead with strong hands-on architecture capabilities
- Solution Architect with significant experience in AI, GenAI, LLMs, or data-driven systems
- Senior developer who has evolved into a cross-functional architecture and technical leadership role

Advantages:

Position Details:
- Position within a defense organization in Tel Aviv
- Fully on-site position – no hybrid work
- Candidates must be able to successfully complete a security clearance process
