NLP Research Engineer

DigitalOwl is seeking a talented and experienced NLP Research Engineer to join our growing Data Science team, focusing on generative AI. Our company provides a cutting-edge solution for analyzing and summarizing medical records for the insurance, legal and health sectors, reducing time, money, and risk of human error to a minimum.

The NLP Research Engineer will play a vital role in managing large, unique, and not publicly available medical data, and developing AI-based solutions for various tasks in healthcare. You will be responsible for designing and building advanced generative NLP models for variety of tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build NLP/ML models at the heart of our products.
• Take ownership of NLP/ML trainer tools and data processing pipelines.
• Design and develop advanced generative NLP models for various healthcare applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest generative NLP techniques and models and apply them to solve real-world healthcare problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Relevant academic degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field).
• Background in NLP, deep learning.
• 2+ years of experience in designing and building NLP models.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Hugginface.
• Well-versed and up to date with the latest SOTA NLP techniques and models.
• Experience with generative NLP (such as Llama / Mistral) - a big advantage!
