About the Role:
We are looking for a senior, independent Logistics & Supply Chain Optimization Consultant to assess and optimize our international logistics operations, with an initial focus on the Israel - US supply chain.
You will take a fresh, data-driven look at our current logistics model, including contracts, providers, transportation routes, costs, and customs processes, identify inefficiencies and savings opportunities, and develop practical solutions to build a more efficient, cost-effective, and scalable logistics chain.
This role requires someone who can work independently, challenge existing solutions, conduct market research, evaluate alternative providers and logistics models, and take recommendations from analysis through implementation.
The initial engagement will be project-based, with the potential to expand into new logistics directions, broader supply chain optimization, and a long-term consulting partnership based on the impact and results delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit & Optimization of Current Logistics

Review and analyze the company’s existing logistics and transportation contracts.

Assess current rates, service levels, contractual terms, and operational conditions.

Identify inefficiencies, unnecessary costs, and potential risks across the logistics chain.

Benchmark current arrangements against available market alternatives.

Develop recommendations for reducing logistics costs while maintaining or improving service levels.

2. Market & Supplier Research

Research the Israeli market for logistics providers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other relevant service providers.

Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers and transportation solutions.

Request and compare commercial proposals, rates, and service conditions.

Support negotiations with logistics providers to achieve better pricing and contractual terms.

Build a data-driven comparison of current vs. alternative logistics solutions.

3. Israel–US Logistics & Customs

Analyze the current import process from Israel to the US.

Review customs-related processes, costs, documentation, and potential risks.

Identify opportunities to optimize customs procedures and reduce avoidable costs, delays, and compliance risks.

Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant partners to improve the end-to-end import process.

Identify potential improvements in shipping routes, Incoterms, consolidation, shipment frequency, and other relevant logistics parameters.

4. New Logistics Directions

Explore new transportation routes, logistics models, and service providers.

Evaluate alternative approaches to international shipping and fulfillment.

Identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency as the business grows.

Develop business cases and recommendations for new logistics initiatives.

5. Implementation & Continuous Improvement

Translate analysis and recommendations into actionable plans.

Support the implementation of selected logistics improvements.

Establish relevant KPIs and benchmarks to measure savings and operational efficiency.

Provide ongoing recommendations based on market changes and business needs.

What We’re Looking For:

Senior-level expertise in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong practical understanding of end-to-end logistics processes, transportation models, international shipping, and cost optimization.

Strong knowledge of the Israeli logistics and transportation market, with hands-on experience working with major logistics companies, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers.

International logistics experience is essential, with a strong understanding of the US market and Israel–US logistics flows. Experience with European and Asian markets will be a significant advantage.

Proven ability to independently analyze existing logistics chains, identify inefficiencies and cost drivers, and design more efficient logistics solutions.

Strong experience evaluating and comparing logistics providers, transportation models, routes, rates, service levels, and contractual terms.

Experience identifying and implementing cost optimization opportunities across logistics and supply chain operations.

Strong understanding of international import/export and customs processes, particularly in the US.

Experience negotiating commercial terms, rates, and service conditions with logistics providers and other suppliers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work confidently with contracts, pricing, operational data, and market research.

Ability to work independently, structure an ambiguous problem, conduct market research, develop recommendations, and drive implementation.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both external providers and internal stakeholders.

Excellent Hebrew and English.
