YouTube Producer - Long-Form Content

Fundmates acquires and grows established YouTube channels as standalone media businesses. We are looking for an experienced YouTube Producer to take ownership of a new true crime bodycam channel and lead its existing production team.
What you'll own

Own the channel's content strategy, performance, and day-to-day decision-making.
Manage the existing production team, including writers, video editors, designers, and other contributors.
Review and prioritize content ideas based on audience potential, channel data, and business goals.
Manage the production pipeline from ideation through publishing, keeping quality, deadlines, and output on track.
Analyze YouTube Studio data, including CTR, impressions, retention, AVD, traffic sources, audience behavior, and revenue metrics.
Diagnose underperforming videos and turn performance data into concrete changes to topics, packaging, structure, and production.
Develop and test titles, thumbnails, formats, hooks, and other growth hypotheses.
Track monetization and channel revenue and make decisions with both audience growth and economics in mind.
Build repeatable processes that allow the channel and production team to scale.
Use AI and automation where they meaningfully improve research, production, analysis, or workflows.

What we're looking for

Hands-on experience managing and growing organic YouTube channels, ideally long-form.
Direct experience managing a content production team such as writers, editors, designers, researchers, or similar roles.
Demonstrated ownership: you have personally made decisions about what to produce, what to change, and how to respond when channel performance declined.
Strong working knowledge of YouTube Analytics and the ability to explain why a video or channel is performing the way it is.
Experience working with titles, thumbnails, retention, content formats, and publishing strategy.
Strong English communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Strong plus:

Experience with faceless YouTube channels.
Experience with documentary, true crime, bodycam, history, science, or other narrative-driven long-form content.
Hands-on experience with YouTube monetization, RPM, AdSense, and channel economics.
Experience using AI tools to improve content or production workflows.
