Senior System Engineer / Depth Architect

We’re seeking a seasoned System Engineer with a multidisciplinary background and deep expertise in depth sensing to help shape the future of our hardware platforms—integrating optics, sensors, firmware, and compute into high-performance solutions used in robotics, automation, and AI applications worldwide.

What You’ll Do

Define and own the end-to-end system architecture for advanced depth camera platforms.
Drive technology and component decisions, balancing performance, power, cost, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across optics, board design, algorithms, firmware, and software to ensure seamless integration.
Lead design reviews, resolve complex system-level issues, and align solutions with the product roadmap.
Contribute to calibration strategies and system-level validation for depth and vision accuracy.
Guide algorithmic integration for depth reconstruction and 3D perception, ensuring robust performance across diverse environments.
Provide technical leadership across teams, mentoring engineers and driving alignment across disciplines.
Engage directly with customers to understand requirements, present solutions, and support integration of RealSense technologies into their platforms.

What We’re Looking For

10+ years of experience in hardware or system development, with a strong foundation in depth-related technologies and computer vision reconstruction algorithms.
Proven track record in designing and integrating depth sensing systems, including stereo vision, structured light, or time-of-flight technologies.
Strong understanding of optics, electro-optics, sensor fusion, and calibration techniques.
Experience with high-speed interfaces (MIPI, PCIe, Ethernet, DDR), SoC architectures, and power management.
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments, with the ability to influence and drive technical decisions across teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working directly with customers and external partners.
Hands-on experience with embedded systems, camera pipelines, and real-time processing.
