Senior ATE Production Engineer

NewPhotonics is at the forefront of revolutionizing data center processing with innovative photonic engines addressing power and performance challenges. We are seeking a Senior ATE Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in enhancing our automated test equipment (ATE) systems. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience and skills relevant to the following areas:

· Develop, implement, and maintain automated test equipment (ATE) systems for high speed photonic and electronic components.

· Define and execute test plans, procedures, and specifications according to industry standards and customer requirements.

· Design and develop ATE load board hardware and tester software solutions to ensure accurate and reliable testing.

· Perform detailed data analysis and validation to guarantee high-confidence test results.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ATE systems.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ATE solutions into production workflows.

· Continuously improve and optimize ATE methodologies to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.

· Ensure Design For Testing guidelines are met during design phases

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in developing and managing automated test equipment (ATE) systems.

· Strong proficiency in programming languages used for ATE development (e.g., C, Python, LabVIEW). Experienced with either Advantest or Teradyne ATE platform.

· In-depth knowledge of test methodologies, data analysis, and validation techniques.

· Hands-on experience with high-speed RF equipment and optical integration.

· Highly experienced in Production support through ATE data analysis and solutions implementation

· Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in ATE systems.

· Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality results.

· Ability to work independently and manage the entire project aspects (from design to full implementation) with an external company.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· 20% travel during the Chip bring-up phase
