We are seeking a visionary and results-driven VP R&D to lead our product innovation, technology strategy, and research initiatives. This executive will oversee the full R&D lifecycle—from ideation to delivery—ensuring our technology and products remain cutting-edge, scalable, and aligned with business goals. The VP R&D will play a key role in shaping the company’s long-term vision and translating it into actionable innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Define and execute the company’s R&D vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class R&D team across engineering, product innovation, and research functions.
Partner with executive leadership to align R&D initiatives with business objectives.

Innovation & Product Development

Drive innovation across products and technologies, ensuring differentiation in the market.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-quality solutions.
Foster a culture of experimentation, creativity, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence

Implement processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Manage budgets, resources, and vendor/partner relationships effectively.
Track and report R&D performance metrics to ensure accountability and measurable outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to bring market-driven innovations to life.

Technology Leadership

Stay ahead of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices relevant to the business.
Champion the adoption of new tools, platforms, and methods that drive efficiency and innovation.

Requirements:

Leadership & Strategic Experience

Proven track record (10+ years) in R&D or engineering leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
Demonstrated success in leading and scaling high-performing R&D teams.
Exceptional ability to translate vision into execution.
Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets and strategic initiatives.
Excellent communication, leadership, and change-management skills.
Proven experience in measuring and improving team velocity.
Experience working with both B2C and B2B platforms.

Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of web application architecture.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience managing large-scale cloud-based projects.
Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript (considered a plus).
Cloud vendor expertise, preferably AWS.
Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
Knowledge of DevOps practices in BI systems and SEO platforms.
Web development experience using React.
Experience integrating AI-driven solutions into large-scale platforms.
Proven experience in optimizing and reducing cloud infrastructure costs.
Experience in defense and security solutions.
Experience in building and scaling marketplace platforms.
