Swimm is an Israeli technology company on a focused pivot from product to services. We help engineering organizations modernize their codebases - version migrations, monolith breakdowns, and code-grounded AI agents - using our own technology to move faster and validate harder than generic integrators. We are a small, sharp, technology-backed boutique.

The role

We are hiring a Director of Finance to own the full financial and legal stack of the company. This is a hands-on senior role reporting directly to the CEO. You will own everything financial and legal - from monthly close, payroll and cashflow, through investor reporting and the next funding round, to commercial contracts and compliance. You will start as a one-person function.

What you'll do

- Own all finance: monthly and quarterly close, P&L, cashflow, runway, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

- Run payroll, AP/AR, and the relationship with our outsourced bookkeeping and audit firms.

- Build and maintain the financial model. Prepare board materials and investor updates.

- Be the financial partner to the CTO and VP Product on project pricing, margin, and unit economics as we sell our first service engagements.

- Lead the next fundraising cycle alongside the CEO - diligence room, term-sheet review, closing.

- Own all commercial contracts: customer MSAs and SOWs, partner agreements, vendor and procurement contracts. Negotiate, redline, sign-ready.

- Own corporate, tax, regulatory, and employment-law compliance in Israel and in the US (Delaware C-corp / Israeli subsidiary structure).

- Own compliance and security certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, customer security reviews) end to end, including auditor management.

- Own the office, IT vendor stack, insurance, and operations function. Direct line management of the HR / Ops lead.

Requirements:

Requirements

- CPA (רואה חשבון), Israel-licensed.

- Experience working for a Big4 accounting firm

- 8+ years in senior finance roles, with meaningful experience leading finance in a high-growth

B2B SaaS startup environment

- Strong commercial and financial-modeling instincts. Comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets at depth.

- Excellent written and spoken English - you will be the company's voice to US investors, customers, and counsel.

- High ownership, low ego. You are happy doing the work yourself today and building the team tomorrow.

Nice to have

- Legal background - lawyer (עו״ד) or substantive legal training. Significant edge for a role this broad.

- Experience with US/Israel dual-entity structures, US revenue, and SaaS-to-services transitions.

- Experience supporting a Series A or B fundraise.
