Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lab Technician specializing in Isolation and Purification, located in Rehovot. The Lab Technician will perform daily laboratory operations, including handling laboratory equipment, sample processing, and refining isolation and purification techniques. Responsibilities also include ensuring quality control, maintaining laboratory standards, and assisting in the optimization

of laboratory protocols. Collaboration with teams to contribute to high-quality results in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

Support routine isolation and purification activities of compounds from biological or chemical sources under supervision of scientific staff.

Prepare samples, solvents, and consumables required for isolation and purification workflows.

Operate and maintain purification equipment, including flash chromatography and semi-preparative LC systems, according to established procedures.

Assist in sample processing, fraction collection, labeling, and tracking to ensure proper documentation and traceability.

Support LC-MS sample preparation and basic analytical characterization of purified fractions.

Maintain accurate laboratory records, including experimental logs and sample tracking documentation.

Assist in preparation, organization, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and workspaces.

Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

B.Sc. or technical degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Practical laboratory experience in chemical or biological laboratories is preferred.

Experience with chromatography techniques or LC-MS sample preparation is an advantage.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to follow written procedures accurately and maintain clear documentation.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic laboratory environment and manage multiple routine tasks efficiently.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
