Senior DevOps Engineer

As we expand, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in optimizing our operations, enhancing our infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement across our systems.

Job Summary:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Second Nature AI, you will be a key player in designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure. You will work closely with our Engineering, QA, and Product teams to ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, and automation tools, as well as a passion for mentoring engineers and driving DevOps best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure using cloud platforms.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate routine tasks and infrastructure management using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices across the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, encouraging continuous learning and improvement within the team and the organization
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and Product teams to support the delivery of high-quality software at speed and scale.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the development, testing, and production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong background in cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in cloud platforms (GCP, Azure,or AWS).
• Proficient with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Action,Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).
• Advanced scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog ,Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Leadership & Communication:
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
