Requirements:
Strong technical background in digital media workflows and asset delivery
Proven ability to work independently and manage complex, multi-project environments
Willingness to work flexible hours to support collaboration across European and U.S. time zones.
Experience prioritizing and resolving issues across cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear communication skills, especially when translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
Background in localization, dubbing, post-production, or M&E
Familiarity with audio/video formats and localization pipelines
Experience working with engineering teams on workflow or tooling improvements
Basic scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, etc.)
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented IT Localization Operations Manager to oversee technical intake, validation, and delivery of assets for large-scale localization and dubbing projects.
This role sits at the intersection of production, engineering, and customer delivery, ensuring that content flows smoothly through technical pipelines while meeting customer specifications, timelines, and quality expectations.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills, operational thinking, and the ability to prioritize and resolve issues across multiple active projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Intake & Customer Delivery
Manage end-to-end intake and delivery of assets to and from customers across large-scale, multi-language localization projects
Serve as the primary operational contact for delivery-related coordination with customers
Ensure delivery milestones are met according to agreed timelines and specifications
Technical Specifications & Asset Management
Review, interpret, and maintain customer specifications, including:
File types and formats (audio, video, subtitles, metadata)
Naming conventions and folder structures
Delivery platforms and protocols
Translate customer technical requirements into clear, actionable guidelines for internal teams
Quality Control & Pre-Delivery Validation
Independently review and validate files received from production teams before customer delivery
Ensure content aligns with:
Customer technical specifications
Logical structure and completeness
Expected quality standards
Identify issues early and coordinate corrections before external delivery
Customer Rejections & Issue Analysis
Review customer rejections (technical and logical) and analyze root causes
Distinguish between specification mismatches, technical failures, and production issues
Clearly communicate findings to internal teams and support efficient resolution
Production–Engineering Bridge & Cross-Functional Issue Management
Act as the primary bridge between Production and Engineering teams for all localization-related technical and operational issues, not limited to delivery
Translate production needs, customer requirements, and operational pain points into clear, actionable technical problem statements for engineering
Ensure engineering solutions align with real-world production workflows, constraints, and customer expectations
Own issue triage and prioritization across the localization pipeline, including:
Ingestion and intake issues
Workflow and tooling limitations
QC, validation, and compliance challenges
Delivery and post-delivery issues
Prioritize issues based on:
Impact on active and upcoming projects
Delivery deadlines and contractual commitments
Risk to quality, scalability, or customer satisfaction
Track issues end-to-end from identification through resolution, ensuring:
Clear ownership and accountability
Proper prioritization and escalation when needed
Timely communication and closure across teams
Identify recurring issues and systemic bottlenecks, and work proactively with engineering to define long-term, scalable solutions
Balance short-term operational fixes with long-term platform and workflow improvements
Technical Operations & Delivery Tools
Perform and oversee large-scale file operations, including:
Mass renaming
Naming convention validation
Folder and structure verification
Work confidently with file-transfer platforms and protocols such as Aspera, S3-based storage and delivery, Secure FTP, and cloud-based platforms
