Senior System Architect

We are looking for an experienced, and hands-on System Architect to play a pivotal role in leading the architecture of our company’s products. This is a key position for a professional with deep systemic understanding and a proven track record in defining multidisciplinary systems. You will be responsible for creating engineering clarity through precise documentation, interface definitions, and critical design decisions.

The focus of this role is less on pure software or optical development and more on end-to-end systemic leadership: translating business and engineering needs into a functional, high-performance product. You will lead the system from initial concept and requirements definition, through sub-system decomposition, to system-level integration and validation.

Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: Lead the end-to-end system architecture of company products, from concept to production.

Documentation & Definition: Author high-level system documents, including SRS (System Requirements Specifications), Architecture Design Documents, and ICDs (Interface Control Documents).

Requirements Decomposition: Break down complex system requirements into clear, measurable, and actionable sub-system requirements.

Trade-off Analysis: Lead critical engineering trade-offs involving performance, risk, cost, complexity, and time-to-market.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with FPGA, Hardware, Algorithms, Mechanics, and Integration/QA teams to ensure architectural consistency.

Interface Management: Define internal interfaces between sub-systems and ensure seamless integration.

Integration & Verification: Support system-level integration, debugging, and verification processes.

Risk Mitigation: Identify technological and architectural risks at early stages and propose robust solutions.

Strategy Support: Contribute to the definition of the technological and product roadmap.

Professional Mentorship: If required, provide professional leadership to an architecture group or act as a cross-company architectural focal point.

Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, System Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 8–10+ years of significant experience in developing complex, multidisciplinary systems.

Proven Track Record: Experience as a System Architect, Senior System Engineer, or Architecture Lead.

Domain Expertise: Hands-on experience with LiDAR systems, advanced sensing, or complex electro-optical systems.

Technical Depth: Deep understanding of FPGA, real-time processing, complex signal chains, and Embedded systems.

High-level Authoring: Proven experience in writing high-quality system documentation (System Requirements, Architecture, ICDs, Verification Plans).

Analytical Skills: A unique ability to balance a "big-picture" systemic view with a deep dive into technical details.

Leadership: Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and leading professional processes without formal authority (Matrix leadership).

Communication: Sharp engineering thinking with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hebrew and English.

Major Advantages:
Experience leading a product’s architecture from the concept phase to successful field deployment/customer delivery.

Background in high-performance Real-Time systems.

Experience in sensing systems, signal processing, synchronization, high-speed communication, or sensor fusion.

Experience in Deep-Tech companies working with demanding global customers.

Managerial experience or experience leading an architecture group.

Familiarity with advanced System Engineering methodologies, including Traceability, Verification, and Validation (V&V).
