Senior Thermal Structural Simulations Engineer

Our Mobileye FMCW LiDAR technology group is seeking a thermal-structural simulations expert to be part of a global leader whose innovative solutions are pushing autonomous driving boundaries.

As Senior Simulations Engineer you will provide thermal and structural simulation and analysis results to overcome problems in photonic and electronic packaging and propose improvements to packaging design.

You will be part of an innovative group working closely from initial design concept to high-volume manufacturing delivering the highest quality FMCW LiDAR product.
What will your job look like:
Develop and perform simulations of complex photonic integrated Circuits (PIC) and their unique optical assembly processes using finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS ICPEAK, ABAQUS or similar tools for statics, dynamics (shock, Vibrations etc), thermal (steady state and transients) scenarios
Influence the optical packaging architecture and/or design, materials selection, and structural integrity, and other associated components by partnering with mechanical design engineers to achieve product requirements
Summarize analysis and communicate through presentations to global team members suppliers and customers
Modeling automation using scripting languages like Python, Matlab, etc
All you need is:
10+ years hands on experience with thermal-structural simulations using FEA
Good familiarity with advanced packaging modeling and FEA of Silicon photonic components, and optional 2.5D & 3D stacking, MCM packaging
MS/PhD in Mechanical or related engineering field
