Accessibility Specialist

Were looking for an Accessibility Specialist to join our team at our company, dedicated to advancing accessibility initiatives across our platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are inclusive and accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities. In this role, you will:
Lead accessibility projects and initiatives of varying scope, from individual features to large-scale, cross-company efforts
Develop and deliver training, workshops, and educational content that make accessibility knowledge accessible and impactful for all our company employees
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and engineers, to integrate accessibility best practices into our product development processes and ensure new features and updates meet high standards of inclusivity
Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the accessibility of our company products, identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical solutions

Proven track record of driving initiatives and championing topics within teams and organizations, with the ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
Strong knowledge of accessibility best practices, guidelines, and regulation, with experience in establishing robust quality guidelines and standards for accessibility-focused content.
Strong communication skills with experience in public speaking, teaching, or facilitating workshops for diverse audiences, and the ability to effectively communicate technical accessibility concepts to cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in HTML and familiarity with web standards.
In-depth understanding of how screen readers and assistive technologies interact with web content.
