Experienced Mechanical Engineer

For Elbit Systems’ Aerospace Division site in Modiin, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to develop advanced propulsion systems

In our Propulsion Systems Group, we are seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join us and play a key role in the development and optimization of propulsion systems based on internal combustion engines for military aviation applications
In this role, you will make a significant technical contribution, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and directly impact projects of national and international importance
In this role you will
Develop advanced propulsion systems focusing on internal combustion engines for military aviation applications
Perform system-level design, define technical requirements, and lead design activities in complex projects with strategic partners and customers
Conduct simulations, performance analyses, and optimization using dedicated software tools
Lead experiments and validation testi

B.Sc or M.Sc in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (advanced degree  - advantage)
At least 5 years of experience in dynamic systems design in aerospace or defense applications (specialization in internal combustion engines - advantage)
Knowledge in strength, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer
Full proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks) and simulation tools such as Matlab, Python (Wave-Ricardo - advantage)
Background in military/aerospace environments or familiarity with relevant standards and qualifications (experience in certification processes - advantage)
Strong analytical thinking, teamwork skills, and ability to solve complex problems
High proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and spoken
