VP of Engineering

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will oversee multiple engineering teams comprising directors, engineering managers, and developers who build mission-critical enterprise software for the insurance industry. Strategic Leadership
Partner with the Engineering Leadership to define and execute the long-term technical strategy and product roadmap. Drive architectural decisions for complex enterprise deployments across cloud infrastructure, data services, and AI/ML platformsChampion engineering excellence, establishing standards for code quality, system reliability, and operational excellence. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 8 years in leadership roles
5+ years managing managers (Directors, Engineering Managers) in large organizations
Proven track record building and scaling engineering organizations in high-growth SaaS or enterprise software companies
Experience with mission-critical, highly available systems serving enterprise customers
Technical Expertise
Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Strong knowledge of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure as code
Experience with AI/ML systems, data platforms, and analytics at scale
Understanding enterprise integration patterns and industry standards (ACORD, ISO, etc.)
Familiarity with insurance domain highly valued
