Description
Deloitte Israel is seeking a motivated and analytical Junior FinOps Consultant to join our growing FinOps & Cloud Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-impact group, supporting leading organizations in optimizing and understanding their cloud spend while advancing your expertise at the nexus of cloud, data, and finance.
What you will do:
Support data-driven analysis and reporting on cloud costs (AWS, Azure, GCP) for clients across industries.
Collect, validate, and structure cloud billing and usage data for both technical and business stakeholders.
Build and maintain standardized dashboards and reports to provide cost visibility and actionable insight (monthly cost packs, budget vs. actuals, trend analysis).
Analyze cloud usage patterns to identify cost optimization opportunities—including rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, reservation recommendations, and storage tiering.
Document findings, track optimization implementations, and coordinate with clients for follow-up.
Collaborate in the implementation of tagging frameworks, shared-cost allocation models, and showback/chargeback practices.
Assist finance and FP&A teams in cloud budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare materials for workshops, training, and FinOps Academy-style knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Document best practices, playbooks, and processes for Deloitte FinOps client engagements.
Stay updated with the latest in cloud pricing, FinOps methodologies, and tools, sharing insights with the team.
Requirements
1–2 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, BI, cloud operations, DevOps, or related analytical/technical roles (internships and student positions are welcome).
Basic understanding of public cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, pricing concepts, and cloud geography).
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets.
Hands-on experience with at least one BI or visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight, or similar) is an advantage.
Exposure to cloud billing and cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing Export) is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree completed or in final year in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (strong advantage).
FinOps Certified Practitioner or other relevant cloud/finance certifications – an advantage.
Personal Skills:
Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities, with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Effective communicator—able to explain technical concepts clearly in both written and spoken English (Hebrew is a plus).
Collaborative team player, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Eager to learn, curious, thorough, and passionate about making an impact and growing professionally.
