Senior Data Engineer – AWS | Kubernetes | Big Data

A leading global technology company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate a large-scale, multi-tenant analytics platform in the cloud.

This role involves hands-on work with streaming and batch data pipelines, delivering data capabilities as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and owning production-grade systems end to end.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and operate streaming and batch pipelines using Flink and Spark

Ingest data from Kafka, S3, REST APIs, and RDBMS

Publish and manage data in OpenSearch / Elasticsearch and additional data stores

Deliver reusable, multi-tenant data pipelines as a self-service PaaS

Orchestrate workflows using Argo Workflows

Deploy and manage pipelines using GitOps with ArgoCD

Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform on AWS

Own monitoring, stability, and troubleshooting of production data pipelines

Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Infrastructure teams on schemas and data contracts

Senior-level, hands-on experience in Data Engineering, owning production systems at scale

Strong experience with Flink and Spark (streaming and batch processing)

Proven experience working with Kafka, S3, REST APIs, and relational databases

Hands-on experience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch, including indexing strategies and operational troubleshooting

Strong background in AWS Cloud, including EKS (Kubernetes)

Experience with GitOps workflows, ArgoCD, and Terraform

Familiarity with Big Data architectures; experience with Iceberg / PyIceberg is a plus

Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CursorAI, or similar)

Independent, highly responsible, with strong system-level thinking and ownership
