Database Reliability Group Lead

Our Stack

MySQL, PostgreSQL, ProxySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, Redis, Memcached, Ruby, Node.js, Go, AWS, Linux

• Ownership of the whole data infrastructure domain of the main production platform. 
• Overseeing our databases in a high scale production environment. 
• Taking an active part in building our data related features, managing our data sources on application and infrastructure levels. 
• Establish the vision for scaling out data as we grow and directly impacting the future of our product from UI to database. 
• Working closely with engineering teams, taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Building and growing the group for scale, establishing new professional teams and evolving the best practices.
• Build everything as code - our automated failover practices and prevention mechanisms for at least to comply with our desired 99.99% SLA

• At least 5+ years of management skills - management of managers and building new teams.
• Experience in high scale with a real production environment in high SLA, performance optimization and scaling out data across the world.
• Great skills of seeing a big picture and system architecture planning.
• Team player, egoless, strong communication skills, and empathy.
• Degree in Computer Science (not a must; we're always looking for super talented people)
