Cargo Flow Coordinator

We are looking for a Trade Coordinator that will handle the following:

Plan vessel allocation of voyages under East Med & Black Sea Region control considering all commercial, operational & Logistics aspects involved
Control country allocations as set out by the Trade
Analyze country forecasts, booking and utilization performance (partners’ and own cargo)
Coordinate transshipment cargo flow ensuring optimal connectivity and cost management
Propose cargo flow optimization and cost saving initiatives based on day to day work
Initiate dialogue between relevant stakeholders to support achievement of the required results
Liaise closely with the Trade to optimize the utilization and profitability

Major areas of responsibility

Capacity Control

Coordinate with all parties (BU, commercial, logistics, operation, procurement team, countries and partners) on daily basis regarding capacity control (allocation/space/forecast/schedule/feeder etc.)
Monitor the countries bookings and forecasts for the next 4 vessels
Coordinate cargo allocations and trans-BU priorities as per BU’s guidelines
Analyze the impact (cost, commercial & service) of any operational constraints and provide input to the BUs
Support flows by providing cost effective solutions for all cargo
Propose cargo flow optimization and cost saving initiatives based on day to day work
T/S and Network Optimization
Check space and plan T/S cargo from all regions
Control T/S priorities according to ZIM’s procedure
Oversee and control cost of T/S in the region (minimize costs for storage in ports for local cargo to be loaded and transshipment cargo)

Routing Management

Consolidate and screen route request from all countries, check approval with BU and update system
Monitor routing selection of other region

Internal Communication

Provide solutions regarding Bypass/Port omission/Phase out/Dry dock/Miss-voyage etc. Including notifications messages to other regions' cargo flow and all other party concerned

Requirements:

Academic education- a must
Minimum 2 years of experience in the shipping industry within commercial or operational tasks
Experience in export processes within a shipping agency- great advantage
High level of English (both written and spoken)
Proficiency in MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) mandatory
