Electronics Reliability & Failure Analysis Specialist

We are seeking an Electronics Reliability & Failure Analysis Specialist to join our Quality Assurance Department. This role is dedicated to investigating PCB Assembly (PCBA) failures, identifying root causes, and detecting failure trends to improve product reliability.

Job Description:

Perform failure analysis investigations on PCBAs from production, integration, and field returns.
Identify root causes of failures and provide clear documentation in reports and ERP.
Collaborate with electronics, harness, mechanics, and software teams on cross-disciplinary issues.
Support supplier quality teams when failures involve components, workmanship, or process.
Recognize recurring failure trends and recommend preventive actions.
Feed analysis results back into design, production, and supplier processes to improve reliability.

Requirements:

Practical Engineer (Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics) – required.
Proven experience in PCBA Inspection and approving complex assemblies (electronic/electro-mechanical) in accordance with drawings, standards, and work instructions, and interaction with the PCBA manufacturers – required
Hands-on work with electronic assemblies: production, inspection, testing, or repair (advantage).
Use of diagnostic tools: microscope, multimeter, X-ray, oscilloscope, pull-test equipment, environmental stress chambers (advantage).
Inspection and approval of PCBA and electro-mechanical assemblies according to drawings and industry standards, including collaboration with PCBA manufacturers – required.
Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes (advantage).
Openness to training in structured failure analysis and root cause methodologies.
Strong practical knowledge of electronic components and PCB assembly.
Hands-on ability to use lab and test instruments.
Systematic and curious mindset – “failure detective.”
Documentation and reporting skills (Hebrew & English).
