Elop Division at Elbit Systems- a global leader in electro‑optic systems development- is seeking an experienced Algorithms Team Leader to guide one of our AI and Computer Vision development teams and help shape the technology powering next‑generation electro‑optical systemsThis is a unique opportunity to lead a team of exceptional algorithm developers and researchers, drive hands‑on innovation, and contribute directly to systems ranging from spaceborne sensors and long‑range observation platforms to advanced missile‑defense solutions We are looking for a leader who is both technological and practical - someone who lives and breathes algorithms, can translate cutting‑edge AI into real‑time operational products running on Edge hardware, and is excited to mentor engineers while remaining deeply involved in code and research What You’ll Do   Leadership & Management   Lead and mentor a team of algorithm developers within the AI & Computer Vision groupSet priorities, guide technical execution, and ensure high‑quality algorithmic developmentFoster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and engineering excellenceCollaborate closely with the Head of Algorithms and other team leaders to align goals and deliverables Technology Development   Drive hands‑on development of Computer Vision and AI algorithmsSelect tools, architectures, and methodologies that impact real‑time operational systemsIntegrate cutting‑edge AI research with applied engineering in complex, multidisciplinary environmentsParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and algorithmic decision‑making   Cross‑Functional Collaboration   Work closely with R&D project managers, system engineers, and business units to design breakthrough algorithmic solutionsSupport system‑level decisions from concept through fielded proof‑of‑concept implementationsEnsure smooth integration of algorithms with hardware, optics, and system constraints Requirements   At least 5 years of hands‑on experience developing Computer Vision algorithms, with strong emphasis on Deep Learning / Machine LearningProven experience leading or mentoring engineers (formal team‑lead experience — a strong advantage)Strong understanding of state‑of‑the‑art AI and Computer Vision methodologies and publicationsB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields from a recognized institutionExcellent proficiency in Python and major development frameworks (PyTorch / TensorFlow / OpenCV)Advantageous QualificationsExperience deploying algorithms on Edge hardware and applying optimization techniquesProficiency in C++ and Linux environmentsFamiliarity with CI/CD methodologies and data pipelines for model trainingExperience working with multidisciplinary teams involving hardware, optics, and system engineeringStrong innovative mindset, technological curiosity, and ability to influence technical direction If you’re a team leader who loves code, thrives on solving complex real‑world challenges, and wants to help build life‑saving operational systems at the forefront of technology - we want you on our team
