We are looking for an Optical Designer to join the ISTAR & EW Division

 

The position is located in Rehovot

 
This position involves the design and analysis of advanced optical systems for various applications, including imaging, laser systems, and illumination
The role includes computational optical design, stray light analysis, and practical work in optical development labs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

 

Responsibilities

 

Computational optical design for a wide range of optical systems
Performing stray light analysis and optical system simulations
Designing illumination systems
Conducting hands-on work in optical development labs
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative optical solutions

Requirements

 

B.Sc. in Physics or Engineering with a focus on Optics (Geometrical and Physical)

Experience & Skills

Strong understanding of geometrical and physical optics
System-level thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to learn and work independently
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Task management and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills and ability to convey complex concepts to an audience
High-level English proficiency (spoken and written)

 

Nice to have

 

Experience in optical design and optical system development
Advanced degree in a relevant field
Programming skills in Python or MATLAB
