Board Design Engineer

Elbit Systems is an international high-technology company engaged in a wide range of programs worldwide, primarily in the defense and homeland security arenas We develop and supply a broad portfolio of airborne, land, and naval systems and products for defense, homeland security, and commercial applications   We are looking for a Hardware Board Design Engineer to join our Electronics, Display, and Space Systems team within the ISTAR & EW Division In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle hardware design, from concept to production, while ensuring system-wide understanding and supporting products throughout their lifecycle   The job is located in Rehovot   Responsibilities   Full-cycle hardware design, including specification, schematic design, PCB layout, and verification Design and development of complex electronic circuits, including high-speed digital and analog components Development of space-grade electronic circuits with strict environmental and reliability requirements Working with high-speed interfaces such as DDR4, SerDes, and advanced processors Conducting system-wide analyses to ensure design optimization Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including software, FPGA, and mechanical engineers Supporting environmental and EMC compliance testing Preparing technical documentation and reports in English   Requirements   B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university (minimum GPA of 82) At least 7 years of experience in hardware board design, including both analog and digital circuit design Extensive experience in designing space-grade electronic circuits Proven experience in full hardware design (specification, schematic design, PCB layout, verification) Strong knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as DDR4, SerDes, FPGA components, and advanced processors Fluent English (written and verbal) for technical documentation and communication Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills System-level understanding of complex electronic systems Experience with environmental and EMC standards   Advantages Experience in FPGA and CPLD firmware development (coding, simulation, synthesis, P&R) Experience in a multidisciplinary development environment Background in Video and Image Processing development Experience in leading engineering teams
