Director, Web Development

Browzwear is a global leader in 3D digital solutions for the fashion industry. Our software transforms how apparel is designed, developed, and brought to market—empowering leading brands with tools that drive creativity, speed, and sustainability.

We are looking for a strategic and technically strong Director of Web Software Development to lead the vision, architecture, and execution of Browzwear’s web platform. This leadership role is responsible for managing multiple squads across frontend, backend, and QA, delivering high-quality web applications that integrate seamlessly with our broader desktop-based ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience building scalable systems, leading high-performing engineering teams, and embracing modern technologies including AI and deep learning to improve development, user experiences and feature delivery.

What You Will Do....

Strategic & Technical Leadership

· Define and drive the strategy for web software development, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.

· Oversee full-stack architecture across frontend and backend systems for performance, scalability, and security.

· Lead the adoption of modern development practices and emerging technologies to maintain technical excellence.

AI-Driven Engineering Efficiency

· Champion the integration of AI tools to enhance engineering workflows, including code generation, refactoring, and test automation.

· Continuously identify opportunities to improve development velocity and QA coverage using intelligent solutions.

Squad Leadership

· Manage and grow multiple cross-functional squads covering frontend, backend, and QA.

· Establish clear goals, processes, and team structures to foster high performance and accountability.

· Provide mentorship, support career growth, and promote a collaborative, innovation-driven engineering culture.

Project Execution

· Own end-to-end delivery of web products, from technical planning and execution to deployment and support.

· Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software through strong execution and agile best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, and other stakeholders to define and deliver impactful features.

· Work closely with desktop engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with shared systems and APIs.

Governance & Operational Excellence

· Set and enforce engineering standards, development workflows, and documentation practices.

· Monitor system performance, team productivity, and application health through meaningful KPIs.

AI-Powered Product Integration

Champion cross-team collaboration to bridge the gap between AI research and productization.
Evaluate and integrate third-party AI services and platforms where appropriate to enhance Browzwear’s digital capabilities.
Own the design and implementation of scalable APIs and infrastructure to serve AI models within the web ecosystem.
Collaborate closely with internal AI/ML and Deep Learning teams to incorporate their models and technologies into production-ready web services.
Lead the integration of AI-powered features into the web platform, ensuring they deliver real user value, improve efficiency, and align with product vision.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing full-stack development.
Proven success managing multiple squads across frontend, backend, and QA functions.
Strong expertise in modern web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, microservices).
Experience building secure, scalable, and reliable web applications in a product-driven environment.
Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and platforms to improve development and QA efficiency.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS), CI/CD, testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Comfortable with hybrid work model requiring 3 days in office per week
Excellent English communication skills
No hands-on ongoing tasks, but can deep dive hands-on, as required

Nice to Have

Experience delivering AI-powered features, including integrating Deep Learning models and external AI services to enhance user efficiency or automate complex workflows. .
Familiarity with 3D software, visual computing, or digital content creation tools.
Understanding of hybrid software ecosystems integrating web and desktop applications.
