Research Assistant Student

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality that utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death.

Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe, and Israel.

Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other types of solid cancers.

We are looking for a Research Assistant Student to join our preclinical team.

The Research Assistant Student is required to assist in all research activities according to the procedures and to record scientific reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Responsible for performing in vivo experiments according to good laboratory practice.

·Responsible for the maintenance of the lab area, working surfaces, and lab equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Qualifications:

· Student of Life Sciences / Biology or any similar field - with at least 3 years of studies remaining

Knowledge:

· Availability for at least 4 days during a weekend in one month (Friday/Saturday) as well as holiday evenings and holidays (average of 36 hours per month)
· Availability for training period - between one and a half to three months, in the middle of the week

· Willing to work with animals (Rodents) as part of the in-vivo lab
