Position Overview

This is Vetric’s first full-time IT hire, a foundational role at exactly the right moment. Informal IT no longer scales, and we’re looking for someone to take full ownership. The decisions you make will matter, the systems you build will be used, and the problems you solve will stay solved.

You’ll be the go-to person for everything IT. This isn’t a ticket-queue role, you’ll design systems, set standards, and ensure that when someone joins Vetric, everything just works, and when someone leaves, everything closes down cleanly. 

You’ll work alongside an external infrastructure consultant during the initial setup phase, and then take over as the long-term operational owner. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining and continuously earning our SOC2 certification.

Responsibilities:

Devices & User Management

• Own the full lifecycle of company devices: procurement, setup, configuration, updates, and decommissioning
• Manage users end-to-end: onboarding, permissions, and offboarding across all systems (Google Workspace, Slack, SaaS tools)
• Be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT needs — troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues
• Maintain device health, security, and standardization (MDM, updates, access controls)
• Own the company’s SaaS stack from a user perspective: access, provisioning, and ongoing hygiene

Security & Compliance

• Own implementation of SOC2 / ISO controls in practice — not just documentation
• Define and enforce security policies across devices, systems, and user behavior
• Manage endpoint security, device updates, and access controls company-wide
• Run security onboarding and training for all employees
• Maintain audit readiness and support security reviews and customer questionnaires
• Ensure password management and security best practices are consistently enforced

Device Infrastructure (Device Boxes)

• Build and operate the infrastructure behind our distributed device fleet (Device Boxes)
• Own on-premise environments and network infrastructure (office network, WiFi, VPN, firewall)
• Manage vendors, procurement, and field operations across locations (Israel & Europe)
• Own reliability, monitoring, and issue resolution — including hands-on work when needed
• Work closely with R&D as the operational owner of deployed systems
• Establish scalable processes to support growth

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT, systems administration, or infrastructure (preferably in a tech company)
• Experience with on-premise infrastructure (servers, data centers, or colocation environments)
• Comfortable with hands-on hardware work — troubleshooting devices, racks, and coordinating field support
• Strong experience with Google Workspace administration and full user lifecycle management
• Experience building or maintaining automated onboarding/offboarding workflows
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, managed WiFi)
• Familiarity with SOC2 / ISO 27001 controls and how to implement them in practice
• Experience with MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and ability to operate independently
• Ownership mindset — you build systems so problems don’t repeat
• Clear communicator who can work effectively with non-technical teams
• Fluent Hebrew and working English

Nice to have:

• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) — ability to automate remote management and monitoring of distributed hardware
• Experience managing infrastructure across multiple geographic locations
• Experience with identity platforms (Okta, JumpCloud, or similar)
• Background in a startup or scale-up environment (40–150 people)
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC)
• Experience with compliance automation tools (Vanta, Drata, or similar)
