Position Overview

As a Backend Team Leader for Vetric, you’ll lead a team of skilled backend engineers responsible for powering critical services on a massive scale within the Vetric ecosystem. Your day-to-day will involve shaping technical direction, leading complex projects, striving towards a stable production and collaborating across teams to ensure reliable and high-performing infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the team, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and a collaborative culture. Encourage best practices in coding, architecture, and project management.
• Drive innovation and quality by initiating and overseeing the development of new features and improvements, balancing innovation with maintaining reliable, scalable systems.
• Ensure production excellence by overseeing the team’s role in maintaining seamless production operations, including performance optimization, incident response, and continuous infrastructure improvement.

• Experience managing a team (preferably 2+ years) and leading projects hands-on from start to finish (preferably 6+ years, focusing on system architecture with a significant focus on backend technologies).
• Experience developing a backend services with TypeScript & Node
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Preferably AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in modern system architecture with large-scale and high performance.
• Impact driven - use data to make sure every task moves the needle and utilize your resources to maximize the team's impact.
• Team player, with strong communication skills and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, solution-oriented, and able to maintain a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and uncertainty. Adapt quickly to changing business needs.
• Passion for data.

Nice to Have

• Background in distributed systems or event-driven architecture.
• Experience with LLMs and modern AI tools.
• Experience with Networking, Proxies, Scrapping, Reverse Engineering
• Dev Experience with social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit)
