Combatants for Peace is seeking a Finance and Compliance Officer to support the organization’s financial management, compliance, and operational processes. The role is central to the responsible and effective functioning of a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization working through nonviolent action and cross-border cooperation.
Job Description:
Financial Management under the supervision of the Finance Manager
Managing supplier relations, including tenders, contracts, and price quotations; organizing documentation for financial reporting and accounting; overseeing petty cash; and providing budgetary support to project managers.
Compliance and Reporting under the supervision of the Development Director
Supporting all data collection and monitoring activities; tracking project implementation in line with donor requirements; and assisting in the preparation of narrative and financial reports.
General Administration and Operations
Responsible for receiving deliveries and service providers, handling day-to-day office procurement (such as refreshments and other office supplies), and providing logistical support for organizing events and activities. Responsible for answering the office email. Maintains ongoing coordination with the Office Manager in Beit Jala on administrative and financial matters, and supports the logistics of organizational events, including coordinating and managing transportation for CfP programs.
Job Requirements
Physical presence at the Ramat Gan office four days per week; at least one working day per month at the Beit Jala office; and participation in organizational events as required.
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of two years’ experience in project management within the NGO sector (mandatory).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in basic computer systems, including Excel, Word, and Gmail (mandatory).
Strong identification with and commitment to the values of the Combatants for Peace movement.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in project management or operations, including budget oversight or administrative responsibilities (significant advantage).
High-level Hebrew and professional-level English (reading, writing, and speaking) are mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
Additional Information
Residence in Tel Aviv or the surrounding area.
Full-time position (100%); occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
Start date: immediate.
