ASSAF - Aid Organization for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Israel- Director of Resource Development (Full-time Position)

ASSAF is a leading human rights organization supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Israel. The organization provides psychosocial support, humanitarian aid, and community empowerment, while also working on the systemic level - advocating for rights, policy change, and social awareness.
Position Description
The Director of Resource Development is responsible for leading and implementing ASSAF’s fundraising strategy to ensure the organization’s sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support ASSAF’s mission and long-term development.
• Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing donors, supporters, and partners.
• Identify, initiate, and cultivate new relationships with potential donors, foundations, NGOs, and international organizations.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop, design, and monitor projects aligned with ASSAF’s strategic goals.
• Lead the preparation of funding proposals and grant applications to foundations, private donors, and institutional partners.
• Oversee project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (both narrative and financial).
• Serve as a member of ASSAF’s management team and report directly to the Executive Director.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong commitment to human rights and to ASSAF’s mission and values.
• Minimum of two years of proven experience in resource development or fundraising.
• Native or near-native English speaker; good spoken and written Hebrew required.
• Strategic thinker with demonstrated success in developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, and persuasive communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, dedicated team.
Additional Information:
• Location: ASSAF’s office in south Tel Aviv (hybrid work possible).
• Salary: 10800 NIS (Additional salary benefits will be discussed during the interview process)
