Controller

Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Controller to join our Finance Department. This is a dynamic and impactful role that supports Okoora’s top management and involves responsibility for both internal and external financial reporting. The Controller will report directly to the CFO and will oversee all aspects of the group's day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting team and oversee all day-to-day financial operations across the group.
• Lead the implementation of a new accounting system in all group entities.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly closings and prepare internal financial reports for management and shareholders.
• Coordinate the preparation of audited annual financial statements and tax reports for the group.
• Design and implement internal control processes and procedures.
• Perform analytical reviews of financial statements and support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with external advisors on transfer pricing studies and ensure their implementation.
• Provide financial support and guidance to all departments across the organization.
• Lead or support a wide range of finance-related projects.

• At least one full-term post-internship role in accounting.
• Experience managing employees and working in a team environment.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or Priority – a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with BI tools – an advantage.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office and high proficiency in English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work well with others and build strong relationships across departments.
• High level of motivation, independent learning capabilities, and strong execution skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, execute with precision, and take ownership of tasks.
• Proven ability to lead processes and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
