R&D Director, Core Solutions

We’re looking for an R&D Director to lead our Core Solutions group and own the development of Lusha’s platform and core products. This role sits at the heart of everything we build — from platform and APIs to backend infrastructure and agentic workflows — powering our data and AI-driven products at scale.

You’ll lead multiple R&D teams through team leaders and tech leads, owning end-to-end delivery in a high-scale production environment. This is a highly impactful leadership role at the intersection of engineering, data, and business — where you’ll define direction, drive execution, and shape the architecture that determines our product velocity and customer value.

You’ll combine strong technical judgment with leadership maturity, operating both hands-on when needed and through others to scale impact.

Hands-on experience leveraging GenAI to improve development workflows, accelerate delivery, and redefine how teams build and operate software is a must for this role.

This role is based in Tel Aviv. We work in a hybrid model, with 3 days a week in the office.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
• 3+ years of experience managing managers and leading multiple engineering teams
• Strong background in backend systems, distributed architectures, and data-intensive environments
• Proven experience working on high-scale, production-critical systems
• Experience driving architectural decisions across platforms, APIs, and infrastructure
• Strong ability to lead cross-team initiatives and align multiple stakeholders
• Hands-on experience using GenAI tools to improve development workflows and delivery speed
• A strong builder mindset with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels

Nice to have:

• Experience with data platforms and complex data pipelines
• Experience building or integrating AI-driven or agentic systems
• Background working in fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments
