What you'll do

As a Student C Virtualization Developer, you will design and implement virtualization technologies for processors, devices, and memory. This role is vital in reducing cloud costs and enhancing computing efficiency.
By optimizing resource management and enhancing the efficiency of cloud environments, you will help businesses operate more sustainably and cost-effectively. Your contributions will enable applications to run more smoothly, benefitting sectors ranging from healthcare to finance.

What you bring

Student at a university or a university of applied sciences
Undergraduate or graduate student specializing in operating systems
Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field
Computer skills: Strong proficiency in coding, particularly in C

Knowledge of operating systems

Experience with Linux

Solid skills in algorithm design and problem-solving

Knowledge of x86 and ARM architectures (advantageous)

Experience with device drivers and high-concurrency software development environments (advantageous)

Language skills: Fluent in Hebrew and English
Soft skills: Highly motivated and ready for new challenges
Team player with strong collaboration and communication skills
Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities that drive innovation

Meet your team

Our vision is to offer the best cloud database services, providing comprehensive solutions for SAP and customer applications. Our mission includes enabling seamless data management and analytics through the integration of advanced database technologies, including databases, data lakes, and replication services.

The team's tasks is to deliver the best memory virtualization technology for in-memory databases in the cloud, optimizing virtualization components to match hardware specifications, designing software algorithms, and identifying and solving virtualization-related issues.

This is a global, strategic, paid working student position at SAP. It provides students with the opportunity to experience advanced programming in virtualization and other low-level programming. Students will gain experience working in a team setup on a long-term project, helping them find purpose in their career.
