Senior Mobile Product Designer

Description:

We don't design screens. We design decisions. Every pixel is a decision. Every transition, every empty state, every button label someone decided that.

At Riverside, we want that someone to have thought harder about it than anyone else would have bothered to.

We're building the tools creators use to tell their stories to the world: Dashboard, Studio, Editor, mobile.

Many users trust the product with moments that matter to them.

That's a craft problem, a systems problem, and a speed problem, all at once.

About the Role

We're looking for a designer who sees the system before the screen one component change and you already know what breaks three flows away. Someone who moves fast without getting sloppy: you can produce five directions before lunch and still catch the 2px misalignment in the one you ship. You question the brief if the ask doesn't solve the real problem, you say so, with a better idea in hand. You obsess over the details nobody asked for, from the easing curve to the microcopy to the loading state that makes waiting feel intentional. You think in principles, not preferences, and can defend a decision with reasoning rather than taste. And you leave ego at the door: you're as excited giving feedback as receiving it, and the best idea in the room wins regardless of whose it was.

On Your Day-to-Day

• Own full platform areas end-to-end problem framing through shipped, polished product
• Push the design system forward, not just apply it
• Partner with product and engineering as an equal
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the design team critique each other's work, borrow each other's ideas, and make each other better
• Report to a manager who's also a designer at heart someone who'll dig into the details with you, not just review the deck
• Use research and data to sharpen instinct, not replace it
• Raise the bar for craft across the whole team your standards become the standard

• 5+ years designing real products that shipped and mattered, including mobile products
• A portfolio that shows range, judgment, and finishing not just concepts
• Fluency in systems thinking and interaction design, not just visual design
• Comfortable with ambiguity and comfortable disagreeing
• A collaborator at heart you make the people around you better, and you're happy when someone else's idea beats yours.
• Genuinely curious about AI you experiment with new tools and models as they come out, and you bring what you learn back to the team.
• Comfortable writing and pushing code you can prototype in code, ship small fixes yourself, and hold a real conversation with engineers about implementation
• Usr tools as Figma, Cursor, Claude and other AI tools that matter and make your process faster.

Bottom line? If you wanna take part in transforming how people and businesses share their stories globally, Riverside’s your place. The work is challenging, the culture is fast-paced, and the people are exceptionally brilliant. And if that’s not enough, we guarantee that your ideas will genuinely make an impact.
