Job Summary

GE Medical Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. This role is crucial in driving our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable medical solutions by optimizing our development and operations processes.

Responsibilities

* Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines for various software applications and systems.
* Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible.
* Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks, automate processes, and improve overall system reliability, scalability, and performance.
* Monitor and troubleshoot production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical medical systems.
* Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
* Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
* Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance our DevOps capabilities and streamline workflows.
* Participate in on-call rotations to provide critical support for production systems.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* 5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role, with a strong focus on cloud-native environments.
* Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins
* Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
* Extensive experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
* Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Linux OS
* Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
* Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance regulations relevant to medical devices and data.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and analytical approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
