We’re looking for an experienced and strategic VP Engineering to lead and scale our Platform group - a core part of WSC Sports’ product and engineering organization. This group is responsible for building and maintaining the core technologies that power our flagship products and drive business growth.

You’ll report to the VP R&D and work closely with Product leadership to align on vision, execution, and long-term planning. You’ll manage a large, growing group of engineers and leaders, and play a key role in shaping the engineering culture, processes, and infrastructure as we scale.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the Platform group end-to-end, owning its vision, execution, and growth
• Drive scale, performance, and technical excellence across all core systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, R&D, and Business stakeholders to define priorities and deliver impact
• Mentor and develop strong leaders across the engineering organization
• Ensure the platform is ready to support innovations, while keeping high standards of stability and reliability
• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement

What you’ll need:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with 5+ years in VP-level leadership roles
• Proven track record leading large-scale engineering organizations (+100), including managers of managers
• Strong experience in product-based SaaS companies – ideally with video or media technologies
• Deep understanding of scalable infrastructure, distributed systems, and cloud environments
• Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining 24/7 production systems with high reliability
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
• A true team player with a collaborative mindset
• Willingness to dive into details when needed, and stay closely connected to the day-to-day work of the teams
