Team8 is a company-building venture group with deep domain expertise that builds companies and invests in companies specializing in cybersecurity, AI & data, enterprise technology, fintech, and digital health. Leveraging its in-house, multi-disciplinary team of company-builders integrated with a dedicated community of C-level executives and thought leaders, Team8’s model is designed to outline big problems, ideate solutions, and help accelerate success through technology, market fit, and talent acquisition. 

We are looking for a leader to join Team8 enterprise team, which focuses on cybersecurity, AI and data infrastructure. The CTO will be pivotal in the ideation process - identifying opportunities, shaping ideas into data driven and actionable thesis, validating the thesis and and driving processes to create new startups, and will also closely support our portfolio companies in their early days.

In this role, you will:

• Jointly lead cybersecurity, AI & data infrastructure ideation processes, as part of the ideation team:
• Explore emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for new company-building initiatives.
• Generate, manage, and prioritize a pipeline of ideas, leading them through validation stages to reach a go/no-go thesis.
• Research the market’s existing solutions and compare them.
• Develop actionable technical theses while summarizing research and validation process’s insights, and translate them into bottom-line recommendations.
• Validate hypotheses with our community of C-level executives.
• Assess the technological feasibility of potential solution approachs.
• Communicate our thesis to domain experts, prospective customers, investors, partners and potential founders
• Support early-stage startups, offering strategic and technical guidance during their initial development phases. This includes feasibility checks, competitor analysis - feature and architecture comparison, design support and advice (regarding tech stack, infrastructure, scalability, costs), POC strategy and execution (including design partnership technical requirements doc, manual initial delivery to the DP and prototype building), and recruitment support.
• Play a key role in the evaluation and due diligence of potential founders, ideas and technologies to assess feasibility, scalability, and market fit.

• Publish high-quality thought leadership content based on the conducted research and present key insights through public speaking opportunities.

• A proven track record of success in engineering leadership and security research roles, with tangible impact and achievements.
• Extensive experience in building and scaling startups from the ground up, particularly within cybersecurity, AI, or data infrastructure domains.
• Strong customer-facing experience, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, including key market categories, major players, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Advantage: Experience in startups’ ideation processes or product strategy.
