Team8-Security and IT Team Leader

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Security and IT Team Leader to join our team. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining IT administration and security solutions to protect our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

IT Systems & Infrastructure

• Lead and guide the IT team, managing priorities and daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Build, configure, and maintain Team8’s computing infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, and collaboration tools.
• Manage user onboarding/offboarding, account setup, and access control.
• Provide technical support for end-users, including software installation, troubleshooting, and remote support.
• Maintain and support IT systems and endpoints for a global, distributed team.
• Oversee IT asset inventory, procurement, and software licensing.
• Ensure system uptime and performance through proactive monitoring, updates, and maintenance.
• Manage and troubleshoot video conferencing systems and collaboration platforms.
• Optimize IT processes to improve efficiency, standardization, and user experience across the organization.

Security Operations

• Develop, implement, and maintain security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Monitor systems for security breaches and lead incident response actions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Analyze and respond to security events from firewalls, antivirus, and monitoring systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for all security and IT activities.
• Provide security awareness training and promote a culture of security across the organization.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth IT operations and secure collaboration.
• Evaluate and integrate new IT and security tools and technologies.
• Audit systems, assess outcomes, and suggest improvements for performance and security.

• 3+ years of proven experience in security engineering and IT administration.
• Strong understanding of security principles, networking, and system administration.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with operating systems and platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android).
• Experience with Active Directory and Google Admin Console.
• Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and access control practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service orientation and strong teamwork abilities.
• Fluent English.
