Description:

A fast-growing cybersecurity startup is looking for its first marketing hire to build the marketing function from the ground up. This is a strategic, hands-on role with direct impact on the company’s positioning, go-to-market, and brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s brand strategy and messaging, including positioning vs. competitors and defining how we communicate with key audiences (CISOs, Offensive Security Teams, Security Engineers)
  • Build and run a content engine, turning company research and insights into high-quality content across channels (LinkedIn, blog, newsletters, etc.)
  • Own the company website as the primary brand touchpoint, including messaging, structure, and optimization
  • Lead the company’s presence at key industry events (RSA, Black Hat, BSides, etc.), creating a clear and memorable point of view
  • Own product marketing efforts, including launches, product messaging, sales enablement, and competitive intelligence
  • Manage analyst and media relations (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and security press)
  • Work closely with product, sales, and leadership teams


Requirements:
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing in cybersecurity 
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product and sales teams
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience in content creation and digital marketing – advantage
  • Experience working with analysts and media – advantage
  • Prior experience in a startup environment – significant advantage
