Team8 Stealth Cyber Startup- Producr Designer

Description:

We are looking for a Product Designer to join the core team of an early-stage stealth startup operating at the intersection of Cyber Security.

This is a unique opportunity to be the first and sole Product Design function, owning the product experience end-to-end and building everything from scratch, in close collaboration with the founders, product, and engineering.

What will you be doing?

Core Collaboration & Ownership

• Work closely with founders, Product, and Engineering to define and design the end-to-end user experience.
• Translate complex product and technical requirements into clear, intuitive user flows and interfaces.
• Act as the design owner, driving design decisions from concept to production in a highly iterative environment.
• Ensure close alignment between design, product vision, and front-end implementation.

Design System & Foundations

• Build and maintain a scalable design system from scratch, ensuring visual, functional, and UX consistency.
• Continuously evolve the design system as the product, users, and company grow.

Wireframing, Prototyping & Execution

• Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Communicate design concepts, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support rapid experimentation and iteration in an early-stage startup environment.

User Research & Validation

• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to validate assumptions and design decisions.
• Analyze user behavior and feedback to continuously improve usability and clarity, especially around complex security workflows.

Design Language & Product Thinking

• Define and own the product’s design language, ensuring it reflects the company’s values, vision, and positioning.
• Design intuitive experiences for complex B2B / security products, balancing power, clarity, and simplicity.

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, preferably in startups or fast-paced environments.
• 2+ years of experience designing B2B, security, or complex technical products.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Figma, including advanced, interactive prototyping.
• Strong product thinking with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Proven ability to work independently and own the full design lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to articulate design rationale clearly.
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a bias for execution.
• Passion for building intuitive, elegant products in Cyber / AI domains.
• Ability to collaborate closely in a small, cross-functional core team.
• High proficiency in English.
