Electrical Engineering – Student Position

IDE Technologies is looking for an Electrical Engineering Student to join our professional Electricity, Instrumentation & Control Department.
As a student, you’ll gain hands-on experience designing and implementing electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design: Assist in designing electrical systems for desalination plants such as motors, lighting, grounding, and power supply for critical equipment.
High Voltage and Substation Design: Assist in designing high-voltage electrical systems, including equipment and systems that supply power to the facility, such as transformers, high-voltage switchgear, cables, and control and protection systems.
Panel Design and Load Calculations: Support designing electrical panels, calculate loads, and ensure compliance with international standards and facility requirements.
Technical Calculations: Perform technical calculations such as voltage, power and load flow, cable sizing, etc.
Technical Documentation: Assist in generating technical reports, administrative documents, and design documentation.
Field support: take part in startup and commissioning activities at IDE sites.

Reports to: Electricity, Instrumentation & Control Department Manager
Location: Kadima (on-site)

Requirements:

During 3rd or 4th year of an Electrical Engineering program
Advantage to candidates specializing in Power Systems (High Voltage)
Proficient in English
Availability to work 2-3 days per week
CAD software proficiency – Advantage
