Design Engineer

Role:

Responsible for making technical drawings using computer-aided/assisted design (CAD) software and systems with focus on Plastic Packaging.

Develop both structural and graphic design of packaging from concept to market for a wide variety of consumer products targeted for Direct Response and Mass Markets.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and develop new packaging drawings, supporting Project Managers/Customers.

2. Analyze customer requests, interpret drawings, sketches, images, prototypes or other technical specifications in order to identify shapes, dimensions, tolerances or other details of the package.

3. Model 3D Concepts in the context of product engineering taking into account the technical and commercial feasibility to obtain customer approval.

4. Execute detailed drawings of the packaging or its components through systems-level computer-aided 3D Platforms and / or 2D drawings Platforms, taking into account the technical specifications, standards, tables and rules for drawing up a technical drawing.

5. Execute prototypes to evaluate its functionality and make any necessary adjustments.

6. Calculate Pallet Lay-out for a specific package to optimize transport.
