Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and management of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD processes, and Ansible, with substantial experience in cloud computing, preferably AWS. Proficiency in coding, particularly in Python, is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.

• Automate configuration management and deployment processes using Ansible.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to understand their requirements and provide the necessary infrastructure and tooling support.

• Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and reliability of our infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.

• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 4 years of extensive experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.

• Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) implementation and management.

• Strong experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

• Expertise in Ansible for configuration management and automation.

• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.

• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential issues.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices.
