• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or backend developer

• Expertise in Python, Airflow, Spark/Flink/Kafka, and cloud architecture (AWS services, k8s and more)

• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and data pipelines for big data processing

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work and learn independently

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Experience implementing AI-driven components – an advantage

We are Wix’s Data Infrastructure group, the driving force behind Wix’s data engineering platform, one of the most extensive commercial data operations in the tech industry. Each day we capture, process, analyze and serve tens of billions of events generated by millions of people worldwide. We build the infrastructure and tools that enable the rest of Wix and its users to access, explore and analyze this data to make data-driven decisions, as well as build smarter data-driven products. We do this by empowering our engineers to be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to production. We value engineering excellence and quality, and are constantly looking for ways to learn and improve. 

The Data Automation team specializes in building generic tools and velocity enhancers. We are responsible for building automated tools for data professionals such as the DWH automation for table creation, a data quality framework (based on Great Expectation OS), a data catalog (based on OpenMetaData OS), and more. In addition, we provide solutions for data consumers such as product managers to enable easy exploration of the data across different groups at Wix.
