Game Animator

As a Game Animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, dynamic animations that enhance gameplay, excitement, and player engagement. You’ll work closely with Game Designers, Developers, Product Managers, and the Art team to transform static assets into immersive, polished gaming experiences.

Requirements:

At Least 2 years of experience as a Game Animator, preferably in Casino gaming or interactive media.
Strong proficiency in Spine - a must (including rigging, skinning, and animation workflows).
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects - a must.
Experience working with game engines and collaborating closely with developers.
Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, anticipation, squash & stretch, etc.).
Ability to animate UI elements, characters, symbols, and effects with a playful, polished game feel.

Ability to balance creativity with technical constraints and performance considerations.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Passion for games and familiarity with online slot games - a bonus.

About the position:

As part of the Studio Art department, you’ll be responsible for animating characters, symbols, UI elements, transitions, and visual effects across our games.

The role focuses on Spine animation, alongside additional animation tools such as After Effects, ensuring smooth integration with the game engine and a high-quality final product.

You’ll collaborate closely with developers to ensure animations are optimized, technically sound, and aligned with gameplay mechanics and performance requirements.

Responsibilities:

Game Animation (Spine): Create high-quality character, symbol, and in-game animations using Spine, including skeletal setups, rigging, skinning, and timeline animation.
UI & Effects Animation: Animate UI elements, transitions, pop-ups, and visual effects that enhance the player experience and support game flow.
After Effects & Additional Tools: Design and animate supplementary assets, visual effects, and promotional-style animations using Adobe After Effects and other relevant tools.
Integration & Optimization: Work closely with developers to ensure animations are correctly implemented, optimized for performance, and function smoothly within the game engine.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Game Designers, Developers, Product Managers, and the Art team to align animation style, timing, and behavior with game design and product requirements.
Iteration & Polish: Iterate on animations based on feedback, playtests, and technical constraints to achieve the highest possible quality and responsiveness.
Consistency & Quality: Ensure animations follow visual guidelines, maintain consistency across games, and meet Spinomenal’s quality standards.
Documentation & Handover: Prepare animation assets, guidelines, and clear handover materials for development and production teams.
